Description
The Australia 10 Dollars is part of the family of notes issued in 1986 with a pick number P-58f. This banknote is in uncirculated condition and is TAP authenticated. Its obverse side highlights Australian writer and bush poet Andrew Barton Banjo Patterson wearing a hat. It also shows a microprinting of some lines from Patersons The Man From Snowy River, a horseman holding a whip and reigns, running horses called brumbies, and the Waltzing Matilda logo. The reverse of the banknote depicts socialist poet and journalist Mary Gilmore and a 1957 painting of Mary Gilmore by William Dobell. A windmill, a bullock team carrying wool, and a microprinting of some lines from a poem by Paterson No Foe Shall Gather Our Harvest are also visible. This 137 x 65 mm polymer banknote has a shadow image of the Coat of Arms as its watermark.
