Extremely Rare...Bird of Paradise Carnival Glass Hatpin...Perfect Condition!

Magnificent and Ultra-rare...this is an Exceptional piece!  A Bird of Paradise Carnival Glass Hatpin on black amethyst based glass.
There are not many of these out there... Two to be exact and the one belonging to Karen Rath sold last year making it the highest price ever paid for a carnival glass hatpin at 00.00.
Beautiful coloring and spectacular iridescence on this fabulous antique pin (circa 1910).  The volcano and insert are original and undamaged as well.
This jewel is 10 inches in length and the hatpin is 1 3/4 inches in diameter.  This example has a piece of abalone for the center medallion versus the rhinestone used on the other example.  I think this adds so much more flavor to the theme using abalone to this exotic piece versus the rhinestone or other fake gem.
No chips, no cracks, no repairs...Mint Condition!  There is not a single micro-chip to this piece anywhere!  It Is PERFECT!!
