    Description

    Hello friends!
Thank you so much to those who have taken the time to look at our various items and also to those who kindly purchased pieces from our collection!
Now we feel very good about carefully packing these impressively large pieces!
Here is a large Japanese classic yusen shippo (with standard wire) cloisonné enamel vase of a two chrysanthemum blossoms.
Perhaps the most interesting aspect of this vase is how this artist creatively but simply outlined in wire the branches and leaves of the chrysanthemum.
The end result is a dynamic design that is both bold and striking.
The vase is finished in a high glossy polish and is in excellent vintage condition without any major faults such as cracks, chips or hairlines or restorations.  The background enamel is primarily a dark cobalt blue enamel.
The height of this tall vase is approximately 12.5 inches
The width of the vase is approximately 6.75 inches
Overall, a very attractive vase in pristine condition with a very strong sense of design.
This exact vase is illustrated and described on page 158 in Chapter 16, “Yusen-Jippo; Standard wire cloisonne enamel,” in the reference book “Japanese Cloisonne Enamel; A Private Collector’s Notes and Reference Guide,” by Gary Yoshino.  The successful buyer of this vase will be provided a copy of page 158.
This vase is quite large and heavy; we request that the buyer help in offsetting some of the USPS Priority Mail cost.  The vase will be double boxed and packed with tremendous care.
This vase will be shipped by USPS Priority Mail with insurance to confirmed addresses within the United States.  We currently cannot ship overseas or make international deliveries at this time due to sheer size and weight of this vase.
International buyers utilizing US based freight forwarding shipping companies are requested to refrain from purchasing at this time.
